Five-Toed Table

walnut, spalted maple, cherry

The foot is made from the fork of a cherry sapling, sliced in half and carved. The top was sliced with a chainsaw to a feathered edge and has an inlaid butterfly of spalted maple. This piece was included in the “Artistry in Wood” show at the Domont Studio Gallery in Indianapolis.
